Uncover the scripture mysteries for yourself
The roots are there. The veil can be lifted. And the story is still unfolding.
Scripture still speaks with depth, balance, and beauty, but many of us have inherited it through layers of translation, tradition, and time that have softened its voice or narrowed its meaning.
Veiled Roots exists to help you hear again.
To return to ancient language, lived context, and temple-centered patterns that reveal a fuller, more coherent picture of God—one that was always present, but not always easy to see.
Veiled Roots is a place to explore scripture more deeply through ancient language and context, in a way that strengthens faith rather than challenges it.

When Scripture Feels Incomplete
Maybe you’ve felt it:

A sense that something
essential is missing from
the story you were taught

Questions about women, authority, and partnership that never received satisfying answers

A longing for scripture to
feel whole rather than fragmented or flattened

A quiet tension between what the text seems to
say and what your soul senses is true
You are not broken for feeling this.
Often, the discomfort does not come from faith itself—but from the distance between the ancient language of scripture and the modern language we use to read it.
What if the problem is not belief, but hearing?
What if the text has been speaking with more depth all along?
See What’s Been Hidden
A Different Way of Seeing
Veiled Roots is built on a simple but transformative premise:
Scripture was written in a conceptual language—one that carries layers of meaning we often flatten when we read it through modern eyes.
When we return to original languages and ancient idioms, patterns begin to emerge:
God revealed as relational rather than solitary
Authority expressed through calling and partnership rather than hierarchy
Sacred roles clarified through language, ritual, and presence
This work is not about proving something new.
It is about seeing what the text has been saying all along.
This is not revision. It is restoration.
What is Veiled Roots?
Veiled Roots is a teaching platform and learning community guided by Jared Lambert, a lifelong student of scripture, language, and temple theology.
Jared approaches scripture with curiosity, humility, and a deep love for the text. In his own words, he is “a lovable idiot who fell in love with the text and couldn’t stop pulling threads.”
Jared is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His work does not stand in opposition to the Church, but within a posture of faith, reverence, and continuing revelation.
Veiled Roots exists to offer context, language, and tools—so scripture can be encountered with greater depth, clarity, and confidence.
Learn With Us
Most people encounter Veiled Roots through Jared’s free teachings online.
Short-form videos, threads, and live conversations are not previews—they are a core part of the work. Ideas are shared openly, questions are welcomed, and learning happens in community.
For those who want to slow down, ask more questions, and study more deeply, Veiled Roots also offers structured learning paths.
You are welcome to stay exactly where you are—or to go further when you’re ready.
Explore Learning Paths
Veiled Roots is designed as a guided journey rather than a single destination. You do not need to know where you will end up to begin. You only need a willingness to listen closely.

Common Questions
“I’m not a scholar. I don’t know Hebrew.”
You don’t need to.
Veiled Roots is built to guide you into the language, not test you on it. The goal is understanding, not expertise.
“I’m worried this might disrupt my faith.”
Veiled Roots does not exist to dismantle belief.
It exists to restore depth, coherence, and balance within the faith many already love.
“I don’t have time for something this deep.”
Depth does not require urgency.
Most offerings are designed to meet you where you are and allow you to move at a sustainable pace.
“Why are some offerings paid?”
Jared believes deeply in making scripture study accessible to all. Many resources and teachings are offered for free so anyone can explore, learn, and engage without barriers.
Paid offerings help sustain the work—supporting the structure, live engagement, and resources needed to create a space where sacred topics can be studied with care and attention. They ensure the community has ongoing access to thoughtful, high-quality study experiences.
Follow the Work
A significant portion of Veiled Roots lives in the open.
Jared regularly shares linguistic insights, scriptural reframes, and temple patterns through social media and public conversations. This free content matters deeply and will always remain central to the mission. If you never take a course, you are still part of the conversation.
